Paper Prototype Progression report
The background for game is finished. The zombies are drawn. Some artifacts are finished, such as the coins, I'm working on the finding a good type of ceramic to use in this game. My archeologists drawing is not something that is coming as easy to me as I thought. Question: should be a man or a woman archeologists. Typically speaking, and not to sound sextist, men are usually archeologists. Then there are games such as Tomb Raider that have female heriones. This is just an update and will put up another blog later. Have a nice day.

Archeology/Zombie Game Blog
My idea for a game design is for an archeological/zombie game. In this game the goal is to collect artifacts with historical value by digging and searching in an excavation site. While the archeologists is digging from marked off dig sites there will be zombies that appear to try to stop the archeologists. There will be a list of certain artifacts that must be found and other artifacts that will be found that the archeologists will have to provide information about. I'm thinking mainly earthtone colors and then maybe one or two other bright colors to make it more colorful. The zombies will be of ancient desent and will also have a historical background. Once the list of artifacts is found the player wins; but all the artifacts are not on the list and will be only the artifacts on the main list will count as points. The player will be able to defend their archeologists from the zombies by using methods of ancient orgins. This shall include alchemy, spells, sayings, from the era of history that the zombie is from. There will be a list of historical facts about each zombie and distinctive markings on each zombie.

Social Issues 2
The game is called "Dafur is Dying"; the game is the issue of the war in Dafur. The issue of this game describes the militia fighting in Dafur and refugee camp survival. It does a good job in exploring the problems of living in a refugee camp. It is a fun game in certain ways with good graphics and easy controls. The game makes you think. It is fun in certian ways and inspiring.
Social Issues Game 1
The game is called "Cost of Life"; it is a game about a familly living in Haiti over 4 seasons. The issue that the game explores is famine and poor living. It doesn't do the best because of the controls are hard to control and use. It is a sad and depressing game to play. Yes, a game can be good at exploring a social issue. Use ways to inspire change and do not make the game depressing.

Learning Game 3
The game is called "Consumer Consequences"; this game is a totally serious enviromental game. I say that because I got sad and depressed when and after playing. Granted it is a good game but I wonder if Greenpeace knows about this game. It is a game where you choose where you live and how you live. It will show you how many Earth's you would have if everyone lived life the way you do. It is a game of questions but also a game that will make you think what is happening to Earth. It has good graphics, information, and a good idea--but it is depressing. I use to think I was an enviromentalists until I played this game and found out if everyone lived like me 4 Earths is what would happen. If you don't mind getting sad its a good game.

Learning Game 2
The game is called "What would you do?"; it is on a Voices of Youth-UNICEF site. The game is played where the characters are put in different situations and you are given options for the outcomes. It's ok to play but the best thing would be if at the youth camps I council would have this game, it would be good for the young people to play.
